Abstract: The Global Goals for 2030 address major challenges such as poverty and climate change, with sports and health as key factors. Nutrition and gut microbiota (GM) are areas of growing interest in sports to optimize health and performance. Specifically, Ballet presents unique challenges for the health of dancers, requiring a balance between physical preparation and artistic expression. The diet and exercise of these professionals are fundamental in influencing the health of their GM, indirectly impacting their athletic performance. Objective. This study aims to review the dietary habits of pre-professional and professional dancers and describe their impact on the well-being of their GM. Methodology. A literature search was conducted in PubMed database, UOC Library, Google Scholar, Google, and Dialnet, selecting 13 articles for the review. Results. The consumption of dairy, vegetables, and fruit varies in quantities. There is a high intake of unhealthy products like pastries and alcohol, and a low intake of carbohydrates, protein, calcium, iron, and vitamin D. The energy consumed is low, with a risk of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S). Despite this, some dancers have good dietary habits, while others rely on dietary supplements. Conclusions. The dietary habits of this group exhibit various deficiencies that negatively affect their GM, including low intake of fruits and vegetables and high consumption of saturated fats. To improve their MI, it is crucial to adjust their diet and continue researching their nutritional and energy needs.
