Abstract: | Computational thinking is one of the learning strategies that emphasize today and that aims to prepare students for the demands of today's society. This study provides a definition of Computational thinking as the next set of skills: analysis, abstraction and sequencing. It also provides data to verify if the Computational Thinking is useful, not only directly in computer science; but that knowledge brings benefits to other science subjects. To this end, this paper presents an experiment that begins with two groups of high school students. One of them are trained in Computational Thinking for a period of time and the other not. Elapsed training is evaluated with statistical tests differences in academic outcomes of science subjects, those high school students who have studied unlike the other group that acts as a control group. |
