Abstract: There are different calculation techniques using physical parameters of seismic events such as the location, magnitude and depth of the hypocenter, to determine losses. All these methods are more or less affected by an error trigger. The objective of this study is to review some of these existing techniques and propose an improved algorithm metaheuristic considering geological concepts.
