Abstract: We're used to see Hollywood's movies that are versions of films made in other countries. Often temporary differences between the two films are too short. This dissertation wants to approach the concept of cultural remake introducing in the first place which are the main characteristics of general remakes and then focusing on Hollywood's culture of transnational remake. The final goal of the dissertation is to study through this research and the analysis of two pairs of remakes which causes could be the reason that american industry would prefer to produce their own versions rather than distribute the original film.
