Abstract: The aim of the present work has been to create a workflow that allow to select segments of a microbial genome that they are possible candidates to belong to a functional family of proteins described in CAZy. The pipeline to carry out this aim has designed in 5 main phases: preparation of the database CAZy, recovery of sequences fasta of proteins of a functional family, analysis of homology for sequence by means of alineaments to pairs and multiple and search for functional pattern. For the realisation of the work have used multiple specific tools for each phase of analysis, and BLAST and HMMR3, and have established the optimum criteria that allowed to identify the regions of similitud in the seqüencia microbial genomics.
