Author: Tordera Sánchez-Camacho, Salvador

Abstract: There is a general consensus that sustainable and environmentally friendly development is the only solution to curb the threat of climate change, one of the most pressing challenges of globalization. The depletion of energy reserves from fossil fuels such as natural gas or oil is reaching a critical point. This report aims to elucidate some issues in this regard and to contrast the effectiveness of the current Spanish government's energy plans with the opinion of eminent personalities from academics, politics and business world. To sum up, we analyze the economic viability and the real potential of this sector in our country.
