Title: Simulation of the mechanical behaviour of a historical church

Abstract: This work is related to a structural analysis of the upper part of the Church of San Bartolomé in Benicarló. The analysis has been carried out by Salome-Meca. Two models have been analysed. In the first model, the dome is a half sphere while in the second model the dome is a half dome with nerves on its external face. The loads applied to the model have been the own load and the superimposed load of the roofs and three structural analysis have been done, a linear analysis, a modal analysis and a non-linear analysis.
