Abstract: Alcohol consumption in excess is harmful at any age but in minors is a problem that affects us all. The objective of this work is to study the relationship between alcohol consumption and academic achievement in secondary school students. Method: The dataset used contains social and academic information from a group of high school students aged 15-22 of two Portuguese schools. Different types of analysis (univariate, bivariate, segmentation, association rules, pro ling and decision trees) has been performed to see if alcohol consumption a effects the results or there are other more influential variables.
