Abstract: By "neofalante" we mean a person who had Spanish as the first language and who acquired that language in the family environment but later, in secondary socialization, learned Galician by starting to speak, exclusively or in some of the social areas of their life, in that second language learned. The main objective of this research is to discover if the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) offer to the people "neofalantes" of Galician a propitious scenario to present themselves as speakers of that language and to experiment linguistically - and identitarily as Galician speakers. With that purpose we study the ideas and linguistic practices of a group of "neofalantes" of Galician that participate in a virtual community of followers of Celta de Vigo, main soccer club of the most populated Galician city. In other words, we want to know if the Internet is being used as a linguistic and identity lab.
