Abstract: The present Master's Project focuses on the study of omics data in an integrated manner. For that purpose, we have worked with different data groups, collected from transcriptomics and metabolomics studies. We have carried out an individual analysis of each data set, using the R programming language, specifically through Bioconductor packages. Moreover, the data integration has been achieved by using multivariate analysis strategies, running this same programming language. It has been developed through two different approaches: partial least squares and canonical-correlation analysis in order to compare and choose the most appropriate method for the integration of the study data. After the analysis, the approach was selected by using partial least squares as they are the most accurate way to integrate the data from the RNA-sequencing (RNA-Seq) and the quantification of metabolite concentration, which are techniques that generate a large number of variables.
