Abstract: This document analyzes how to implement a communications network making use of wireless technologies that allow offering a total WiFi coverage in the municipality of Valdeavellano, a small town in the province of Guadalajara. Specifically, mention is made about WiMAX wireless technology, which will be used to provide the municipality with a broadband Internet access, as well as the Wi-Fi solution to be implemented in each area where coverage is to be provided. After realizing a previous study of the technologies, the real scenario is defined. It is a rural municipality in which it would be very costly to economically carry wiring. Based on the analysis of network requirements and the study of different technologies, the territory is analyzed and the solution for the implementation of the network is defined, as well as its viability.
