Abstract: The present work analyzes the main characters of One Piece, a story in the format of a manga. One Piece has been written and drawn by Eiichiro Oda since 1997. Following Greimas' Actantial theory the implication of each of these characters in different situations that deal with the issue of justice is analyzed. This is also done with the story's own institutions such as the World Government's military sea force and the Marines. This study allows us to understand the background plot of the story better.
