Author: Giribet González, Josep Maria

Abstract: The population of our country ingests more calories than the ones they consume, in this reality many factors are involved, among others, unhealthy lifestyles, lack of physical activity or inadequate nutrition' in which we often consume products with high calorie intake but almost no nutritional value. Parallel to this increase in unhealthy habits, there has been a very rapid technological development, which has allowed smartphones to be at affordable prices for the general population. In our country we are big users of these tools and their potential as a source of information is clear, but this information is not necessarily adequate, accurate or even healthy. Thus, it is imperative that nutrition and health professionals know what is being offered to their patients and help them discern good sources of information from what can be a scam or something directly detrimental to their health. This intervention seeks to develop an audit a framework for applications of this type that allow us to find those that are valuable to patients by providing quality, contrasted information while at the same time facilitating the monitoring of the nutritional plan of the user and locate and offer solutions to problems that may be found.
