Author: Salvador Acevedo, Eduardo
Tutor: Ribes Fortanet, Diana
Abstract: The main aim of this study is to formulate and evaluate a psychosocial intervention with Syrian asylum seekers, currently in a migratory emergency situation, with two types of therapeutic types of training: The Mindfulness MSC and the CNV. On the one hand, intervention in Mindfulness has become one of the star themes in the scientific publications of current psychology. In particular, Compassionate Mindfulness or MSC, belonging to the fourth generation Mindfulness is the one considered with the highest therapeutic incidence. On the other hand, Non-violent Communication (NVC) advocated by the clinical psychologist Marshall Rosenberg is a very interesting methodology for conflict resolution, which facilitates cultural and social integration at various levels. The present study contains a proposal of statistical and psychometric analysis of the incidence of these interventions with a pre-post study, also evaluating the stability of the results over time. This study also evaluates the relationship between the levels of disorder such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in addition to anxiety or depression with the levels of self-compassion and nonviolence social skills, which according to previous research would be inversely correlated. On the other hand, variables such as emotional intelligence and CNV competences or degrees of psychosocial and community integration are also monitored.
