Title: Diseño de un modelo de simulación para la capacidad de enlaces mediante la multiplexación de modos
Author: López Méndez, Pablo Jesús
Tutor: Fabrega, Josep M.
Abstract: In this document, a study is made about the capabilities of Fiber Optics in terms of the multiplexing of modes applied to it. It supposes the natural evolution of the work of an old teammate dedicated to the Fiber of Few Modes (Few Mode Fiber) in which the bases of this investigation are found. The selected scenario for the development of the project consists of a Matlab routine called SSPROP, originally developed by the University of Maryland. Through the application of a series of modifications in the code, multiplexing of modes in the investigation has been achieved. As an output of the Matlab code sequence, a series of simulated graphs are obtained, from which the critical analysis is carried out and the pertinent conclusions are drawn. The objective of this work is to make a comparison between the implementation or non-implementation of multiplexing modes in Fiber Optics.
