Abstract: Internet marked a before and after in communication. In thirty years of web technology has been advancing to reach the current situation, where we are experiencing another digital revolution that affects the way we communicate and ingest information. Before, the visualization of online videos on the web or social networks was limited to the speed of the internet or the speed of the mobile device. Today we have no limitations to any audiovisual content. We have internet access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Not only do we have access from home, thanks to smartphones we connect from anywhere. The 4G speed allows us to download and upload large files, to watch movies or streaming broadcasts and generate and upload content to the network immediately. We can read articles, watch pictures, listen to music and enjoy high-resolution videos thanks to technological advances and accessibility to mobile internet plans and smartphones for the majority of the population in Spain. Now that we can choose the content we want to see, read or listen to, what are our preferences? ¿How has this technological change influenced the habits of information consumption? Where are we going in the consumption of online videos?
