Title: Análisis del protocolo IEEE 802.11p en sistemas de comunicación vehiculares V2X

Abstract: The main objective of this work is to obtain the benefits in different mobility environments / realistic scenarios (urban, suburban, etc.) and contemplate the adaptation of the 802.11p protocol in the aforementioned environments. To achieve the objective, a study will be made of different beaconing mechanisms that can be used in V2X vehicular networks, which are future driving assistance and collision prevention mechanisms that will be based on the exchange of information between vehicles, stations bases and various signaling devices that will be located along our roads. Given that the vehicle communication systems (V2X) standardized at European and American level contemplate different mechanisms to distribute this information (beaconing mechanisms), a comparison will be made taking into account a general point of view. In addition, for this purpose, simulations of beaconing mechanisms will be provided in a realistic simulation environment using the VEINS tool that interacts with SUMO and OMNeT++ - http://veins.car2x.org). More specifically, Veins is an open source framework for running simulations of vehicular networks. It is based on two wellestablished simulators: OMNeT ++, an event-based network simulator, and SUMO, a traffic simulator. It extends to a complete set of models for the IVC simulation.
