Abstract: | In recent years, local stores have been at a clear disadvantage compared to other business models, such as shopping malls or online stores, due to their lower capacity to invest in technology or customise their offer. In this context, a solution based on mobile technologies is proposed in order to allow local businesses to obtain, store and analyse as much data as possible from their potential customers, so as to obtain valuable information that they can materialise in sales and in the improvement of the user experience. This solution has been embodied in an Android application that integrates the following functionalities: authentication with social networks' accounts, acquisition of customer location, registration of session data, product and store explorer, storage of user preferences, display of personalised offers, possibility of purchase through the app, city information. In order to obtain a functional and attractive product, a planning with several stages was carried out: Benchmarking in app stores, analysis of potential users and context of use of the application, creation of low and high fidelity mock-ups, database design, implementation of the application, testing and error correction. |
