Title: EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment)
Author: Pérez Galán, Beatriz
Tutor: López Antón, Aleix
Abstract: This work presents the design and the implementation of an EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) equipment for an optical instrument's mechanism embedded on a meteorological satellite. The EGSEs are considered as one of the essential tools in the validation and verification of the parts included in a satellite. Usually each EGSE is designed and manufactured for a specific subsystem, because the validation and verification of a complete satellite is done through the conjunction of various types of EGSE and other types of equipment such as the SCOEs (Special CheckOut Equipment) that are responsible for providing the dynamics, kinematics and environmental conditions. The EGSE presented here has the capability of validating the hardware and software parts of the subsystems of one meteorological satellite, in particular of a mechanism of the satellite's main optical instrument.
