Abús sexual infantil: evolució a llarg termini d'indicadors d'ansietat i depressió en víctimes. Un estudi longitudinal

Abstract

L'abús sexual infantil (ASI) és un problema amb repercussions en l'edat adulta de les víctimes. Nombrosa literatura científica ha estudiat els efectes a curt i llarg termini de l'ASI, principalment mitjançant investigacions de tipus retrospectiu. Entre aquests efectes destaquen la presència de símptomes depressius i ansiosos. Tanmateix, existeixen pocs estudis que analitzin aquests efectes de manera prospectiva, fent un seguiment de la seva evolució durant el desenvolupament vital. Aquest treball final de grau té un doble objectiu. D'una banda, poder fer un seguiment de la simptomatologia depressiva i ansiosa en víctimes d'ASI durant tota la seva vida adulta. De l'altra, comparar aquests resultats amb els obtinguts amb un grup control representatiu de la població general. Amb aquest objectiu s'aplicaran el Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) i el Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) als dos grups. S'analitzaran aquests resultats a partir de subgrups de cohorts del mateix gènere amb una finestra d'edat de 5 anys (a partir dels 18 anys d'edat). Es pretén comprovar la relació entre l'ASI i majors índexs de depressió i ansietat, així com el manteniment d'aquesta simptomatologia al llarg del temps. Una limitació del nostre estudi és el fet que el grup control pugui incloure subjectes que hagin patit ASI. A Catalunya, el percentatge de víctimes d'ASI s'estima en el 15% de la població. Malgrat aquesta limitació, esperem augmentar el coneixement sobre els efectes a llarg termini de l'ASI.

Childhood sexual abuse (CSA) is an issue with repercussions in the adulthood of the victims. Numerous scientific literature has studied the short and long term effects of CSA, mainly through retrospective research. These effects include the presence of depressive and anxious symptoms. However, there are few studies that analyze these effects in a prospective approach, tracking their lifelong evolution. This final degree work has a double objective. On the one hand, to track the depressive and anxious symptomatology of ASI victims during their entire adulthood. On the other hand, to compare these results with those obtained with a control group representative of the general population. To this aim, the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) and the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) will be applied to both groups. These results will be analyzed through subgroups of same gender cohorts with a window of 5 years of age (starting from 18 years of age). The aim is to check the relationship between CSA and higher rates of depression and anxiety, as well as the maintenance of this symptomatology over time. Our study will be limited by the fact that the control group might include CSA victims. In Catalonia, the estimated share of CSA victims is 15% of its population. In spite of this limitation, we expect to enhance the knowledge about the long-term effects of CSA.

Numerosa literatura científica ha estudiado los efectos a corto y largo plazo de la ASI, principalmente mediante investigaciones de tipo retrospectivo. Entre estos efectos destacan la presencia de síntomas depresivos y ansiosos. Sin embargo, existen pocos estudios que analicen estos efectos de forma prospectiva, haciendo un seguimiento de su evolución durante el desarrollo vital. Este trabajo final de grado tiene un doble objetivo. Por un lado, poder hacer un seguimiento de la sintomatología depresiva y ansiosa en víctimas de ASI durante toda su vida adulta. Por otro, comparar estos resultados con los obtenidos con un grupo control representativo de la población general. Con este objetivo se aplicarán el Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) y el Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) a los dos grupos. Se analizarán estos resultados a partir de subgrupos de cohortes del mismo género con una ventana de edad de 5 años (a partir de los 18 años de edad). Se pretende comprobar la relación entre la ASI y mayores índices de depresión y ansiedad, así como el mantenimiento de esta sintomatología a lo largo del tiempo. Una limitación de nuestro estudio es el hecho de que el grupo control pueda incluir sujetos que hayan sufrido ASI. En Cataluña, el porcentaje de víctimas de ASI se estima en el 15% de la población. A pesar de esta limitación, esperamos aumentar el conocimiento sobre los efectos a largo plazo de la ASI.
