Title: Liderazgo y dirección de empresas en el s. XXI

Abstract: The present work shows a theoretical review of leadership concept and strategic people and team management, focused in concepts such as management by instructions, management by objectives, management by values; organizational culture; mission, vision and values statements; creativity, idea generation and innovation; conflict resolution, risk-taking decisions and team management; work environment, human resources and recruitment. At the same time, an experimental study is being made; it consists in the questionnaire administration of the Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (ALQ) and the Scale of Work Environment to a sample, obtained by accidental sampling, formed by 35 people with an average age of 42.57 years old working in three companies of the province of Girona.
