Abstract: This paper delves into the Flipped Classroom (FC) teaching model as core theme of a didactic sequence which is supported by the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and it is to be implemented in the subject of Latin in the 4th year of ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education) in a public high school located in a depopulated region in Aragón. This proposal, which centers on the Roman army, arises from both the need to achieve a significant learning in the said context and the urge to arouse interest in classical languages such as Latin again. After analyzing the specific context and its needs, the main goal of this didactic sequence is developing strategies that increase the students' motivation in their learning process and encourage peer learning in order to take advantage of the benefits that it entails. In this sense, the FC model represents an upward trend with multiple advantages such as promoting collaborative learning, autonomous and responsible learning, adapting the teaching-learning process to the pace of each student and placing the student at the centre of the process, thus improving their self-esteem and motivation. All this is supported by the technology that prevails in our society and whose didactic use still remains limited in the classroom without taking advantage of its potential.
