Abstract: The present paper presents an intervention for a 34-year-old pacient with bipolar disorder type I. She debuted with a maniac episode and suffered a major depressive episode after a few years. Nowadays she is in a referral episode for six months. In the neuropsychological evaluation she shows alteration in short and long term verbal memory, in working memory, in the cognitive empathy, a slowdawn in the information processing speed and a deficit in executive functions, specifically in the cogntive flexibility and in the inhibitory control. The main objective of the proposed intervention is to increase her funcionality; for this purpose, an intervention has been proposed to work the altered domains, giving special importance to memory and executive functions. The exercises have an ecological approach and their objective is to compensate the alterations working with different materials, such texts and computer exercises. Likewise, psychoeducation sessions and strategies to increase the patient funcionality have been proposed and it tries to involve the family in the rehabilitation process.
