Abstract: This paper will study the case of a 74-year-old patient with Alzheimer's Disease (GDS 3). Fictional patient inspired by a real case of the A.F.A. ALTAAMID of Granada. Dementia affects about 50 million people worldwide. Currently, AD is the most common type of dementia, representing between 60 and 80% of cases of total dementia. It is a neurodegenerative disorder with insidious onset and progressive course. It results in a global atrophy of the brain that primarily affects the cerebral cortex. It is characterized by memory loss and other cognitive functions, and a whole series of behavioral and emotional symptoms. The evaluation results show severe alterations in verbal fluency, abstraction capacity, mental calculation and in informative content of ideas. There is also mild anxious symptomatology and slight dependence on autonomy. Our intervention program has as a general objective to exercise, promote and / or maintain as long as possible those cognitive functions that have shown deficits in neuropsychological assessment in order to maximize the quality of life and improve patient autonomy. This would consist of three weekly sessions of 60 minutes duration (40 minutes of cognitive stimulation and 20 minutes of training and practice in deactivation techniques), depending on the needs. It includes stimulation of the affected functions, strategies of compensation of the function, external aids or modification of the environment, accommodation of tasks and family intervention.
