Title: La transexualidad: cuando los genitales no predicen el sexo
Author: Albo Ruiz, Yolanda
Tutor: Urbano Ortiz, Patrick
Abstract: A project of social and educational journalism that addresses, through a multimedia report, the problems of people in a situation of transsexuality in our current society. It also explains this reality from the framework of Substantive Sexology: transsexuality is just one more fact of the immense human sexual diversity. All subjects are diverse, unique and intersex. Also similar. The neonatal sexual classification according to the genital criterion constitutes, from this paradigm, an error of concept. External genitalia do not always predict sex or sexual identity, although this is true for the vast majority. This reality obliges organised society to update itself and face up to certain challenges.
