Abstract: This work deals with an 85-year-old man who has Parkinson's disease (PD), 11 years of evolution, who resides in a nursing home. PD is the second pathology with the highest prevalence worldwide. This disease produces degeneration and loss of neurons of the nigrostrial dopaminergic system, which can produce different motor and non-motor disorders. The results of the neuropsychological assessment suggest, according to DSM-V criteria, a cognitive profile compatible with a major neurocognitive disorder due to predominantly fronto-subcortical, with involvement of cortical structures. In the neuropsychological assessment, the patient showed a moderate to severe alteration with a predominance of executive functions and visuospatial capacities and mild to moderate impairment of other domains such as attention, memory, praxis and visuoperceptive abilities. These difficulties have an impact on the development of the different basic and instrumental activities of daily life. In the emotional assessment, anxiety symptoms were detected. The objective of the intervention is to promote the recovery of impaired cognitive functions, maintain the preserved cognitive function, slow down the course of cognitive decline and reduce the negative impact of its deficits on their emotional, behavioral and daily life activities. The neuropsychological rehabilitation program lasts 12 weeks and consists of 30 sessions. Rehabilitation will be carried out through training of the altered cognitive functions. Training in the Jacobson relaxation technique to reduce anxiety symptoms and learn strategies to compensate for the cognitive deficits present with the use of external aids.
