Author: Sánchez Felipe, Javier
Tutor: Orte del Molino, Andrés
Abstract: The objective of this study is to determine the state of compliance of electronic administration in the municipalities of Tenerife (Canary Islands), as well as to understand what approach is being followed by the different municipal governments to carry out such implementation. The concept of 'electronic administration' is actually multifaceted and is made up of different elements. In this study, we will start from a definition of this concept based on three pillars: first, the internal processing that is carried out in the entity; second, the quality of the entity's electronic site and the services provided by it; and finally, the mode of operation of the citizen service offices and how they are integrated into the internal processing. Each of these main elements will in turn be made up of a series of individual indicators, and therefore this set of indicators will allow us to know the state of compliance that each entity has, on the one hand, with the extent to which the city councils of Tenerife are complying with the existing legislative obligations in the matter of reference, and on the other if they are focusing the changes on the improvement of the public services offered to citizens.
