Abstract: Crossfit® as a sport methology has presented a global growth beyond precedent in the las decade. Different branches associated with Crossfit®, such as CrossfitHealth has been created with the purpose of unite physicians all around the globe and to make scientific contributions related with sports and nutrition in order to prevent chronic diseases such as diabetes, blood hypertension and obesity. Intermittent fasting (IF) as a nutritional practice has shown to contribute to multiple health benefits such as weight loss, reduction in insulin resistance, grown hormone increase, among others. There is only few scientific literature that relates IF and its effect on the Crossfit® practitioner. The present study pretends to evaluate the effect of IF during a 15-day period on body composition and performance among the Crossfit® practitioners of the affiliate gyms in the Girona area.
