Abstract: The present work analyzes from a scientific and social basis the appearance and proliferation of certain conditions and diseases that affect today a very high percentage of the population and have their origin in the change of social and eating habits, paying special attention. in those that are most significant, both in terms of proximity and population reach. Both from the study of archaeological finds of human remains from the past and also observing the most relevant social changes, we will see how the rapid transformation of our immediate environment has not been accompanied by slow anatomical changes in our body to adapt ' hi. To the evolutionary mismatch must be added the consequences of the rupture of the link of modern humans with the habitat where they evolved and developed as a species, nature. Its possible physical and emotional consequences are analyzed, especially in populations living in medium and large cities, with practically sedentary lives and in many cases with little or no contact with the natural environment.
