Abstract: This Bachelor's degree final project (BFP) aims to present the Teaching Unit (TU) entitled 'Dealing with patients' for the Technical English module that students of the Second Cycle of Higher Degree Professional Training in Documentation and Health Administration (DAS) study. The methodology used for the development of this Teaching Unit is cooperative learning, to increase the motivation of students and get them more involved in foreign language classes, and consequently, achieve one of the main objectives of the Organic Law of Modification of the LOE (LOMLOE): reduce the dropout rate. It is, then, an intervention in the classroom with a teaching methodology based on practice and the use of the English language in a cooperative and contextualized way, designed to increase student participation and involvement. With this objective, a study of the current context characterized by the knowledge society is carried out, and by the emergence of a new educational paradigm that intrinsically carries the need for the use of new teaching techniques that facilitate authentic and educational practices, applicable to reality, and that provide students with the basic tools to face the challenges of the context. Subsequently, the key elements that make up the TU are developed, to analyse in detail how it will be applied in the classroom. In particular, the following components of the TU will be covered: identification data, timing, competencies, objectives, methodology and evaluation. Finally, after having performed four educational sessions based on the AC methodology and the Jigsaw Technique (JT), a quasi-experimental research is carried out based on questionnaires provided to the students, in order to analyse the effectiveness of the AC and the TPA, identify if it is a DU that can facilitate the acquisition of the curricular knowledge of the Technical English module in a cooperative way, and if it enables the development of procedural, cognitive and attitudinal skills among learners.
