Author: Pérez Guardamino, Leili Rosen
Tutor: Pérez Burriel, Marc
Abstract: In the intervention of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), it is increasingly necessary to integrate the family, especially the parents who, through their parenting, promote their well-being in their daily contexts and relationships, maintaining a favorable prognosis in these interventions. The purpose of the present study was to analyze intervention programs in parents of children with this diagnosis in order to verify their effectiveness. The method used followed the guidelines of the PRISMA statement in a sample of 10 investigations. The results show that all the programs maintain a certain level of efficacy with respect to the achievement of their objectives. However, the use of the research designs employed and some characteristics of the programs are discussed. In conclusion, there is evidence of programs that generate improvements in parents, but more research is needed to replicate the studies considering the recommendations previously established on the limitations that each author has raised.
