Abstract: Smart beaches are sandbanks in which technology and innovation have been incorporated for the benefit of the environment and users. The digitization of these spaces offers high value-added services for the population and tourists, thus improving the experience thanks to more efficient management. This work proposes an autonomous system for the management of sustainability, accessibility and safety in coastal bathing areas. The smart beach will therefore be more accessible, it will warn of the temperature and quality of the water, air and sand, it will check the state of the tides, it will measure the level of occupation and it will even offer information on possible Covid-19 protocols to guarantee safe environments from the start. hygienic and sanitary point of view, among others. All of this will be designed through the deployment of measurement sensors, video surveillance and counting technology, surveillance drones and lifeguards, and digitization of tourist information. The Internet of Things has reached our beaches to tune in with demand and new consumption habits. The possibilities of scalability are very high and sun/beach tourism will never be the same as before.
