Title: L'encisadora coronació d'Alfons el Benigne segons Ramon Muntaner
Author: Garcia Bartual, Juan Jose
Tutor: Carré, Antònia
Abstract: The Chronicle of Ramon Muntaner, written between 1325-1328, is a literary historiographical account. Muntaner has lived memorable feats under the sovereign dynasties coming from the lineage of the house of Aragon and Barcelona belonging, therefore, to the Catalan-Aragonese crown. In this sense, carried away by this heroic historical reality, it narrates the enchanting scene of the coronation of Alfonso III of Catalonia-Aragon, the Benign one, to manifest the dynastic authenticity of the Catalan-Aragonese monarchs, because they enjoy the divine accreditation in recognition of their virtuous behavior of defending the Christian faith and therefore becoming the best kings in the world along with the best vassals, Muntaner among them.
