Title: | Amb minuciosa precisió passarem comptes. Les roques i el mar, el blau de Salvador Espriu: una compilació de mites amb mirada pròpia |
Author: | Rosich Mena, Laura |
Tutor: | Gassol Bellet, Olívia |
Abstract: | Salvador Espriu was an emblematic figure of post-war Catalan literature. A man of erudite training, he cultivated all genres and elaborated a personal universe around the myth of Sinera. His last published work was Las rocas y el mar, el moratón (1981), a book made up of one hundred prose pieces that follow the same number of classical Greco-Latin myths. In this final work of degree of the Catalan literature area, we will approach this work, often unjustly forgotten or put aside by the critics, taking into account that it is a piece that Espriu already considered complex and not suitable for any type of reader. We start from the hypothesis that the writer had other literary plans for his last years of activity, but that the collaboration with the young draftsman Cèsar Estrany presented him with the opportunity to write Las rocas y el mar, el moratón and turn it into his literary testament. From the compilation of data on his last creative stage, we place the work in its context, unravel the keys to the title, structure, themes and narrative voice and analyze the complex web of Greek myths and myths that Espriu elaborates. This work aims to be a small contribution to the author's last prose work, so particular and fascinating at the same time. |
