Abstract: | The Internet is increasingly omnipresent in all areas and its influence on society, including the reading public, is undeniable. As time goes by, there are more and more categories of literature in which the Internet, and especially social networks, such as TikTok, through 'influencers', are gaining ground. Culinary publications have not escaped this trend, and have lost a lot with the entry of COVID-19. In addition, the audiovisual reinforcement provided by a video recipe, as opposed to a traditional recipe on paper, ends up overshadowing it. Therefore, a major challenge that publishers still have to address is their adaptation of the traditional recipe book to this new reality. This paper will analyse the problems related to the rapid disappearance of the cookbook and how it is evolving towards a new term, the cooking shorts. It will especially address the culinary sector at this time, focusing on social networks where this change has been seen in a remarkable way. |
