Title: Deseando encontrar un "hueco". Trabajo, tiempo-vida e imaginación
Author: Maseda Juan, Clara
Tutor: MUNTADAS FIGUERAS, BORJA
Abstract: Capitalism is characterised by the submission of life to work. Our present context, contoured by precarity, non-future and a crisis of the imagination, defines a living of powerlessness and constraint. This text visualises our current state of mind as modulated by the hegemonic capitalist worldview from the perspective of “work” and "living-time," using this visualisation to identify which conceptualisations, beliefs and routines underpin it and investigate how to practically live without them. In a phrase, of avoiding the grooves in the staircase, or perhaps the staircase itself. To do this, we find our foothold in a "gap" which invites post-capitalist imaginaries capable of cracking the currently hegemonic worldview.
