Title: Disseny d'una aplicació d'activació conductual per a la depressió
Author: Tomas Lavilla, Emilio

Abstract: Depression is one of the main mental health problems worldwide, affecting more than 2 million people in Spain, where only 51% seek help. Behavioral activation is one of the treatments with a greater response, even though actual interventions are not fully functional. Digital health interventions have been shown to be effective in treating different mental health problems, but they lack scientific rigor. The aim of the work is to present the design and validation of an autonomous web-app intervention based on behavioral activation for people in a situation of mild or moderate depression, being this intervention more efficient than the usual treatment. A five-session co-creation methodology with 12 participants (9 patients and 3 professionals) is used. The agile Scrum methodology is used for development. Results will be evaluated by a clinical trial, planned in the design. This intervention allows the creation of an innovative and easily adaptable autonomous tool that serves as a basis for future applications in other pathologies, such as anxiety. In conclusion, it is considered that the presented design will be able to fill the deficits that we find in other digital interventions, such as the lack of patient participation and low adherence, due to its co-creation methodology, responding to one of the challenges the health system faces.
