Title: El paper de la nutrició i l’ús de suplements dietètics en la cura i prevenció de les úlceres de peu diabètic

Abstract: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) are a growing problem due to the increasing prevalence of diabetes mellitus. Therefore, assessment of nutritional status and treatment of possible nutritional deficiencies are of great importance for patients with chronic wounds. The aim of this review is to know the dietary supplements used in the cure or prevention of diabetic foot ulcers, to describe the influence of nutritional status, to find out the efficacy and to identify the posology of food, nutrients and recommended dietary supplements.
