Title: Los espacios educativos híbridos de la contemporaneidad
Author: Gavilán Martín, Diego

Abstract: Educational institutions have traditionally been the centre of knowledge. This situation has led to the neglect of the study of other more experiential and multidisciplinary educational spaces. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the current school's crisis and propose a more balanced teaching-learning model of teaching and learning, in the sense that it brings together the body, creation and movement between different spaces. To this end, the following questions are posed. How can the traditional-mental school lose its centrality and become part of a more balanced network of interconnected experiential spaces? How can a more physical, experiential and lived education be designed and developed? In this paper, we reference René Rickenmann's (2006) model of education based on cultural artefacts to discover and build new subjective and communitarian dimensions. Finally, a didactic unit is proposed that is centred on the performative art of Ana Mendieta, which combines body and nature and is proposed as a starting point toward a more integral and balanced educational model.
