Abstract: | The purpose of this study was to develop an emotional education program and apply it to thirty-five children between eight and nine years of age, as a tool for solving interpersonal conflicts. As we know, emotions are part of people's daily experiences; however, very rarely do people reflect or question themselves about them. For this reason, we seek to know the role of emotional education in learning and awareness of the actions and feelings of human beings. By means of an empirical analysis, surveys were applied to both the teacher and the children, in order to obtain a diagnostic criterion about the knowledge of their emotional competencies. Afterwards, the emotional education program Grupo de Recerca en Orientación Psicopedagógica was applied. From the analysis, it was concluded that there is an effectiveness of the program in terms of emotional awareness competencies, with a development of a wider vocabulary, awareness of the emotions of other peers being more empathetic, improvement in social skills through positive regulation behaviors. However, to achieve these changes it is essential to start at an early age, where the school is an important axis since the paradigms of traditional education should be changed. |
