Title: Dificultats emocionals dels estudiants universitaris amb càrregues familiars. Una comparativa de gènere i estudis
Author: Corte Suñer, Rebeca del
Tutor: Martí, Glòria
Abstract: The number of students who must balance their studies with family and work commitments has increased due to the change in demographic attending university and the older age in which they enrol. There are many studies that show the prevalence of anxiety and depression in university students. In contrast, there is a lack of studies assessing their familial burden and the emotional difficulties it brings, hence the topic for this research. The ex post facto study has been carried out using a survey, sent to university students throughout Spain considered to have family commitments, with the aim of finding out their perceived emotional difficulties. It has detected a high prevalence in depression, stress, anxiety an guilt especially in gifts and on-line students.
