Title: Análisis de la participación de las mujeres en los talleres de empleo: El caso de la provincia de Valencia. Propuesta de transformación del trabajo para los talleres de empleo

Abstract: The current situation of women in the labor market, with high unemployment rates, has led the Autonomous Administration of the Valencian Community to finance mixed employment and training programs aimed exclusively at women. Professional retraining is a necessity for women to be competitive or, otherwise, they run the risk of remaining outside the labor market. However, not taking into account the personal and family circumstances of women, ̶ particularly those who head a single-parent family or have dependent children ̶ far from achieving inclusion, can lead to further failure. The present work aims to contrast the difficulties encountered by women in achieving better employment opportunities and labor market insertion. Through this research, a proposal has been defined for the transformation and organization of work in the employment workshops which, with the use of new communication and information technologies, allows women, particularly those who have children of school age, to reconcile work and family life and to participate in the employment workshop program with an optimal use.
