Abstract: The teaching of good habits in information retrieval promotes that students know how to find and use reliable and quality resources for the tasks they have to carry out, not only in the university training plan but also in the professional world. There are many authors in the scientific literature and institutions in the educational and library world that stress the importance of developing these competences. The teaching staff of the Master's Degree in Nutrition and Health of the UOC's Faculty of Health Studies have noticed that students feel disoriented when searching for information in specialised databases, which are available as learning resources in the classroom. Students also do not know how to reference information correctly, and it is also considered that they should be more critical, contrasting it with more than one source and not only with the first result they find. In order to detect what needs to be covered in terms of the information literacy that students need to acquire, a group interview was carried out among the teaching staff of the subject. The aim has been to obtain qualitative and contrasted data on the current and desired state of training that exists, and to try to offer an effective technopedagogical design solution, both for the teaching staff and for the students. The aim of the study is to design a seminar at the beginning of the academic year in one of the specific subjects of this master's degree, to help students improve their digital and information skills. It is proposed that this seminar be carried out in conjunction with the UOC's library staff, as they play a key role as experts in the subject, and that it should be a success and generate interest, conveying the importance of their professional field.
