Abstract: | Society is increasingly aware of the importance of emotions in people's physical and mental health. Several studies show that the pandemic and confinement have had an impact on people's emotional well-being and mental health. In this sense, the aim of this research has been to analyze what this impact has been. Specifically, the study focused on 244 secondary and high school students from two institutes in Camp de Tarragona. To do this, a questionnaire was carried out for students from 1st year of ESO to 2nd year of High School. The results of this research provide relevant information regarding the emotions experienced in the 3 moments experienced during the pandemic. Regarding confinement, this has not been a traumatic event for the participants, on the contrary, since the emotions they have experienced the most are tranquility (126), comfort (119) and calm (107). Regarding the de-escalation plan, it can be considered a time of transition to normality, as it has generated joy (96), uncertainty (80) and tranquility (75). Returning to schools has indeed been the most difficult, generating more stress (102), uncertainty (74) and demotivation (72). In addition, the participants have shown less ability to pay attention and motivation, greater difficulty concentrating, etc. |
