Title: Etiquetatge frontal alimentari: quin és el model òptim pel consumidor?
Author: Batista Palacios, Alba
Tutor: Serra Maqueda, Aida
Abstract: At European level, there is still no universal and mandatory Front-Of-Pack (FOP), in contrast to most American countries, that have already included an FOP model of application in most packaged products on the market. The aim of this bibliographic review is to determine which FOP model is optimal for the consumer and which, therefore, would help them adopt healthier eating behaviours. In order to carry out the research, a set of studies related to the subject comparing two or more FOPs, published during the last 12 years, has been bibliographically reviewed. 24 articles have been selected, all of them randomized studies, crossover or parallel, with the same objective as that of the present review. Results were obtained through surveys or simulated purchases. The results have highlighted the need for more studies comparing all the FOPs currently available on the market, in order to be able to respond to the stated objective. An optimization of the technique would help the consumers to make healthier decisions not only instantly, but also in a prolonged way, educating them.
