Abstract: The aim of this study is to identify the implications of the lack of a transfeminist and gender perspective in the Bachelor's Degree in Social Education at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC). In order to carry out this field research, a qualitative approach has been used, with 11 interviews with different professionals related to the degree itself or with degrees that do incorporate these views and contents. The research has been complemented with observation and participation in a Round Table where the need to generate the academic and educational space has been discussed. The most relevant conclusions point to a generalised lack of content within the degree, especially in compulsory and basic subjects. The lack of training of professionals is noted, as well as the serious implications that this lack of feminist and transfeminist views has on future professionals in Social Education, as well as on the subjects of education and, therefore, the need to mainstream content with feminist and transfeminist views within the Bachelor's Degree. In the same way, it should be noted that changes are being made to solve this knowledge gap. It seems, however, that semantically the word gender creates much less opposition and rejection than the word feminisms.
