Abstract: Nowadays, the number of devices connected to the internet is growing every day and therefore, antenna design changes depending on the application, frequency, device size, required range or energy efficiency. For this reason, in this work it is studied the reusability of antenna designs depending on the size of the device (different mass planes). Tools such as HFSS, Matlab or IE3D are used to simulate antennas or electromagnetic circuits and have been used as examples in other projects. In this project, CST Studio Suite tool will be used and shown how to use it to design a meander-shaped monopole antenna centred at 900 MHz. In addition, it will be shown how to use macros that allow to launch multiple automatic simulations without the need to edit the design for each simulation, allowing to save time in the design. Due to the large number of IoT devices coming to the market, a study of the reusability of the antenna for the LoRa band (863 - 928 MHz) for multiple ground plane sizes (from 20 mm x 30 mm to 200 mm x 200 mm) will be made using the created macros. For this case, using adaptive networks, a reusability of 0.58% and an efficiency of 60.1% is achieved. Finally, the results will be compared with a commercial solution called Antenna Booster that obtains a reusability of 53.8% for 342 different mass planes and also with a spiral monopole antenna.
