Abstract: The American Psychological Association warns of the dangers of "toxic masculinity": aggression, emotional repression and an increase in risky behavior. For this reason it is important to involve the educational community and prevent its development. The general objective of this research was to investigate how the perception of masculinity changes through the different school stages. A case study methodology of the Montessori Palau Figueres school has been used. The sample was 51 students from Kindergarten 2 to 4th grade of ESO. The instruments used were an observation record and a questionnaire. The main conclusions have been that at all ages they perceive men with aggression, strength and authority, from the 3rd year of Primary School risk behaviors increase, in Kindergarten and the beginning of Primary School they present fewer traditional patterns, and the media, family, peer group, rejection of femininity and teachers influence masculinity patterns.
