Abstract: | “Tofu y Amén” is a final degree project that explores editorial design through the conceptualization and development of a fanzine of cooking recipes in which the main ingredient is tofu. This publication has the primary objective of spreading awareness about the potential of tofu within plant-based diets. With the rise in popularity of healthier and more sustainable lifestyles, plant-based diets have gained traction, and the search for alternative protein sources to animal products leads us to tofu. It is a soy-de- rived product filled with nutrients and benefits. Despite its versatility, many people are still unaware of the multitude of ways tofu can be prepared and enjoyed in the kitchen. The project addresses this information gap by presenting a selection of easy and delicious recipes with inter- nationally inspired tofu dishes. The user will be able to explore flavors and textures that enhance the quali- ties of tofu through clear instructions for the preparation of each recipe, tips, and different techniques. The editorial design of the fanzine utilizes an attractive, modern visual aesthetic that captures the reader’s attention through carefully crafted, organic, and unconventional photography showcasing the recipes as they are. Among other details, the physical format of the fanzine stands out, aiming to enhance the user’s experience while cooking. In conclusion, “Tofu y Amén” showcases the potential of tofu within plant-based diets through a physical and digital fanzine of cooking recipes, with a creative and eye-catching approach that seeks to share with the reader the passion for tofu and encourages the exploration of vegan cooking in a creative way, con- tributivo to personal well-being and environmental care. |
