Abstract: This work that belongs to the master's degree in Social Media: Management and Strategy of the UOC investigates the state of communication of video games on social networks in a promotional way, focusing on cozy games and their characteristics. This research has an applied orientation, since it also wants to cover a need in an industry that does not have many studies related to social media strategies. The paper investigates the current state of the video game industry and its marketing, as well as the nature of cozy games, a type of video game that is becoming increasingly important. To assess how communication is done, a case study is carried out of the communication of Cult of the Lamb, a cozy game that has managed to stand out for being much more than that. This serves to establish guidelines for future communicators and acquire knowledge of how to adapt strategies according to different variants such as the state of development of the game, the target, the nature of the game and the hardware, among others.
